Who We Are
For over 10 years Superior Expeditions has continually provided:
- Twin Cities Based SCUBA Training Opportunities - Representing Minnesota's Best SCUBA Experience.
- SCUBA Related Travel Throughout the Caribbean & Pacific Regions, as well as Lake Superior and Lake Michigan.
- SCUBA Instruction Through the University of Minnesota's Twin Cities Campus.
Superior Expeditions provides SCUBA training and travel opportunities throughout the Midwest regional area and other parts of the world. We offer SCUBA instruction for certification levels ranging from entry level Open Water Diver all the way through Dive Control Specialist/Assistant Instructor.
For the past 25 years, the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities Campus) has looked to Superior Expeditions or its previous incarnations (Captain John's Adventures and International Society of the Argonauts) to teach its regularly scheduled SCUBA courses. In addition, Superior Expeditions also teaches continuing education SCUBA classes for Anoka and Hennepin counties, as well as the St. Paul Youth Programs SCUBA Summer Camp.
Our Instructors, Assistant Instructors and Dive Control Specialists are licensed, experienced professionals certified through Scuba Schools International (SSI), the largest school-based SCUBA training agency in the world, and the YMCA Scuba Training Program. Both agencies are part of the Universal Referral program and meet or exceed the standards set forth by the worldwide Recreational Scuba Training Council. Many of our instructors have also received additional certification by SSI to teach a multitude of specialty and advanced diving courses.
Superior Expeditions also coordinates and schedules both local and tropical dive travel. Recent trips have included Cayman Brac, Cozumel, Roatan, Truk Lagoon, Lake Superior and Lake Michigan. All of our dive and support staff have a wealth of experience in both local and tropical waters.
